The Chepang Chiuri Honey Project, launched on April 24, 2024, in Lothar, Makawanpur, marks a significant step forward in empowering young Chepang farmers in Nepal. This initiative aims to support these farmers by providing them with 10 beehives each, totaling 100 beehives among 10 selected individuals. Stichting Nepal from The Netherlands and the World Vision Advocacy Forum (WVAF) have joined hands to assist the Nepal Chepang Association (NCA) and Janachetana Sana Kisan Agriculture Cooperative Sanstha Ltd. in various aspects of beekeeping and honey production. The project offers economic opportunities for the Chepang farmers and promotes sustainability and self-reliance within their community.
