Components:
Education and Training for Children and Adolescents with Autism:
- Aims to address the lack of awareness and support for autism in Nepal.
- Intends to improve social and physical conditions through specialized care, support, and individual protection assistance.
- Involves children with autism in project design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Aims to change attitudes and perceptions through training and awareness activities.
Specialized Services for Care and Social Reintegration of Children and Adolescents:
- Focuses on vulnerable children who have experienced abuse, violence, neglect, or exploitation.
- Prioritizes gender-responsive child protection services.
- Aims to empower survivors with skills, opportunities, and positive coping strategies for safe and dignified reintegration into their communities.
- Seeks to improve the social and economic conditions of families.
Project Objectives:
- Sensitization: Raise awareness among families, communities, and local governments on child rights and autism care in the project areas.
- Provision of Assistance: Ensure the provision of critical protection-related assistance and specialized services for children and adolescents with autism.
- Search, Rescue, and Reintegration: Collaborate with child protection stakeholders to search, rescue, protect, and reintegrate children found unaccompanied, missing, or at risk.
- Rights Protection and Social-Economic Improvement: Protect and promote the rights and interests of children and adolescents, with a focus on improving the social and economic conditions of their families.
- Capacity Development: Develop and enhance the capacity of implementing partners and local stakeholders for the protection and promotion of children's rights. This includes monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
