Kopila Rijal

Ms. Kopila Rijal brings over 20 years of expertise in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB), Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEAL), and Protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention. Her skills encompass Gender Mainstreaming, GRB Auditing, Public Financial Management (PFM), Child Protection, and Civil Society Strengthening. With a background in both policy and community practice, she advocates for Eliminating Violence Against Women and Children (EVAWC), combating Child Marriage, and preventing Human Trafficking. Ms. Rijal has successfully integrated gender perspectives into Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change initiatives. Her work spans Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, focusing on elections, gender, and women's human rights issues. She is well-versed in international frameworks such as CEDAW, BPFA, UNSCRs 1325 and 1820, and disability inclusion.
